Social Justice Through Dance

Students will be asked to create movement and choreography both individually and with others. The intentions behind each creation will be rooted in the following: uncovering personal identity and exploring and deepening understanding of community-based issues (including, but not limited to: heritage, stereotypes, prejudices, racism, sexism, socialism, educationism). Students will find inspiration from their peers, communities, families and themselves, and learn to communicate their thoughts, ideas and understanding through movement and dance.
Registration is now open for this exciting new summer choreography course! This course is open to all levels of dancers, grades 10-12, and students from all districts can register! Space is limited so sign up fast!
